Desktop Notification Tool Issues

Hi,

Coming from years of using Nagios, we had the benefit of using a notification tool called Nagstamon that sat in your system tray and notified you of alerts. With Solarwinds we have the Desktop Notification Tool and so far I am not impressed but that could be the way I'm using it.

It's set to start at Windows startup which it does. However, If I put my machine to sleep, it disappears from the system tray and needs to be opened and logged in again.
1. Has anyone else experienced this?
I get an audible alert and it pops up in my system tray notifying me of the alert but when the alerts is cleared/reset the notification is still there in the desktop notification tool and will not clear unless I acknowledge or dismiss it.
1. Is this normal behaviour?

Or, is the tool just not very good?

Hello, I would open a support ticket for this one if not there are other actions you can use the 2nd like is to an older post where they use growl.
