Does anybody have any experience with software/hardware to do this? I'm not talking about Wireshark on a laptop. I'm talking about industrial style packet sniffing using taps and permanent spans. I believe JDSU, Riverbed and Fluke all provide such solutions, but I've never heard about anyones experience with them. What do you use? Would you recommend it?
We need it mostly for troubleshooting and proving that the network isn't the problem
