Modify Vendor within database manager

I noticed the table named Nodes in the database manager that contains the vendor names of the nodes. Is it safe to modify these or is there another safer way to do it? I would like to modify but I want to make sure it will not corrupt the database or cause other issues. Thanks.

I've made changes to it without problems.

I believe you have to shut down NetPerfMon service, make the changes, start NetPerfMon.

I stopped that service and made the change. When I started it back up the database reverted back to the previous. Is there another service that needs to be stopped or another place in teh database besides the Nodes table that I should look? Thanks.

I did. I refreshed the page and the changes showed up for about 10 seconds and then reverted back. I checked the website and the changes were there but reverted back. I tried stopping the SQL server agent as well and trying it but that didn't work either. I might try stopping all Solarwinds services, making the change, rebooting the server, and seeing if they stick. It's worth a shot. Can you think of anything else? Thanks again.
