Limit what shows up in 'Search For Nodes' drop down?

I want to include the 'Search for Nodes' resource to allow our folks to search for a node by either IP or caption. Currently, when I click on the drop down box it lists a TON of options.

1) Is it possible to limit it to only a few
2) How is this box populated?
3) Is there a better way to search for a device?

Found my own answer. I modified the Inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\NetPerfMon\Resources\Misc\SearchNodes.ascx file and removed the

lbxNodeProperty.Items.Add(prop);

line. I also deleted all other lines that had lbxNodeProperty.Items.Add(new ListItem other than what I wanted.

I realize that this will probably be overwritten if I run the Configuration Manager so I made a copy as it works now.

I knew how to do this in the old ASP code, but the new .NET code is a little more confusing.

I've modified the SearchforNodes.aspx code on my Orion V9 SP2 server to limit the number of properties displayed.
However, I just realized this search code is "broken" compared to V8.x.

Doing a search in previous Orion versions would return a page which included a column with the results of the property that was searched.
Example - Searching for IP Addresses with 10.253.43.* would return a page showing not only the node name, but also the IP address of each node next to it.
Now I have a list of nodes which I have to guess at the IP address of each one.

Specifically I have a custom field called EmployeeID. Doing a partial (wildcard) search returns many node names, but I'm unable to view which node is associated with which ID number.

Can we please have this functionality restored?

Perhaps we need a thread for restoral of features which have been broken in new releases?
These should take priority over new feature requests.
(This is one reason why I don't upgrade Orion when new versions are released.
I find basic features and functionality which are heavily used are no longer working).

I was reading the release notes for V9.1 SP1 and I see there is an advanced search feature?
Does this do what I'm after?

I see you've also fixed the ability to copy and paste the URL for charts - nice.
Now I can upgrade my SLX install from V8.1 :-D

9.1 also has a search box in web node management. By changing which columns are displayed you can control what the search box searches.
