Hey there.
Can some one plz help me, i've heard that I can import a Visio drawing to my Orion Atlas, and make some of the icons 2 an object? this would really help me, making my maps.
Here are a few I put together for Cisco...
and these are from SW staffer Roger Wong:
Adding Custom Icon Graphics from Files
Pasting Custom Icons from the Windows Clipboard
Hello,
the most usual way of importing Visio diagrams is to convert them to a bitmap and set the bitmap as a background of a map. Then drag objects from the tree on the left onto the background.
I typically copy images from Google, or Visio, then paste them in paint.
You can then crop them to just the size you want, select copy, then go to your Atlas and paste the image as a new object if you want to be able to move them around, or paste as background if that's what you want.
Thank you all for your help.
unfortunelly I was hoping that with my Visio import, I could make some of my icons in the drawing to an object.
Not just drag a new object into the drawing.
Instead i've imported some off my icons from my visio drawing into atlas and removed the same icons from my drawing, so when i make a new object i choose to change the icon of my object to one of my own icons, and then place the new icon where it fits on my drawing.
Took snippet of the Visio, saved as .png. Then used that as the map background. Worked well, thank you.
