I've been working with NPM for years for now. Is there a way to reset the default views so that I can see what Solarwinds would use in a default build?
As the thread below states, "you could delete the Node Details view, then run the Web Configuration Backup tool and have it Merge (not Overwrite!) the "NetPerfMon Initial Configuration" file.
This will give you a new view called "Node Details" with the default resource setup, but it will have a different view id number in the database. It may be necessary to update some of your accounts to point to this new Node Details view."
Hope this helps.
Thanks much aLTeReGo! Sorry for missing out, but I’ve been watching this via email, not the whole thread.
Keep up with the good (GREAT) work on the product suite!
Is this still a valid way of restoring a default view? I can not find the OrionWebBackup.exe on the Orion Server.
I would like to reset the default Node Details view.
Simply delete the view, or views and re-run the Configuration Wizard. If it's a default out-of-the-box view it will be restored. If it was a completely new view you created from scratch however, those will not be restored once deleted.
Good Stuff here.
