You do not have permission to view Net Object

Hello all,

I am running NPM 9.1 sp3. I have just found that this morning some of the devices I click on are coming up with an, "Account Limitation error"

I'm using the Admin account and have no limitations set and on certain devices it comes up with this error. I have added account limitation and added all devices and still I get the problem. So I have taken the account limitation back off to so back to square one, which was no different anyway!

Any suggestions as to why this might be happening?

Just to put an answer to this, I raised a ticket and got a response back from SolarWinds.

I had changed the view for certain nodes and that was where the problem was, they didn't have permission to see the very nodes I had made the views for. So basically there were restrictions on the views and not the user. If that makes sense.

Did this just start when you upgraded to 9.1 SP3? I would recommend opening a support ticket and include diagnostics to further diagnose the issue

I can't be 100% sure, I upgrdaded to 9.1 sp3 last week and it's been working fine as far as I can tell. Just started happening today, but then again the nodes I am clicking on are not nodes I would click on very often. So hard to say.

What diagnostics should I include in the ticket?

Not sure, to be safe all of them, or you can wait till Support asks you and they can tell you which one they need

I've setup a view to view wpm transaction events and when i specify some of the wpm transactions via a view limitation it works and others it doesn't. I created all of the wpm transactions so i'm not sure why there is a permission/restriction issue here? I have not set any permissions specific to these wpm transactions and other users have access to them so I cannot work out why the views cannot display the relevant information relating to the limited wpm transaction.

As you can see from below I have specified a group of transactions and i've tried limiting it to just one... and only one of these transactions will work in my custom view. The rest will not display and come up with the permissions error above. Is there any way I can alter the permissions so that my custom view is able to display any of these limited views?
