Dell MIB values

does anyone know where to find more detailed info about Dell's MIB values - they seem to lack descriptions for the returned MIB values.

for example, i need to know what these values mean, for things such as PCI Status? for instance, what does the VALUE 3 mean or what does 4 mean, 5, etc

most of what i've researched just says something like DELLSTATUS ....duh?

The values returned in a Dell MIB are either:

1: Critical
2: Warning
3: Normal
4: Unknown

or for array controllers etc.

1: Other
2: Unknown
3: OK
4: Non-critical
5: Critical
6: Non-recoverable

wow! thanks...

you know that saying? Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, but teach him to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime.

can you teach me where to get those fish values? like a URL or PDF or something else?

the reason i ask is i'm on a mission to do tons of these Dell MIBs and i'll need more fish, i mean MIB values.

thanks - i got the map values for Device Status working...

in this example below, what do you think the value description would be to cover this FAULT?

it shows Zero for right now (which must mean OK) but i wonder what the other values might be?

Hi,

I'd think the best way to obtain these to to give the Dell Service centre a call and ask them. The values I obtained were from other area's of the MIB tree and I dont see 0 entres anywhere.

Is there a way to determine what order the Poller Columns show up? For instance, with the exact same pollers, I'm getting DevManufName, then Status, the Description, then Fault... Ideally I'd like to get them in the order you've got them listed above...

I don't think so - but I believe that is now a FEATURE REQUEST for Orion.
