Custom Pollers Crash Report Writer and Sys Mgr
direland69
I'm trying to create a report with Report Writer that displays all UPS' and their current load percentages.
On the Filter Results tab, I add the following elementary condition...
"
Records where Poller Name is equal to *
"
When I click on the * to choose the poller name, Report Writer closes and the following two events are logged in the Application Log...

Apparently this is not just Report Writer. I just tried creating an Advanced Alert based on poller name and got the same results - Orion crashed to desktop.
I am running Orion 8.0.2

Latest hotfix for System Manager did not correct this issue.
Anyone else experiencing this or have suggestions on how to fix?

I am also experiencing identical problems. Any word on a fix for this?

I just had this exact issue... SW tier 3 said to remove and reinstall all SW software on the server. Sux I know.
Make sure you back up your reports and maps folders, and the website under InetPub. I had to remove all of the software, delete the entire solarwinds.net tree from HKLM/Software in the registry, and then download and reinstall the applications again. Don't forget to re-apply the patches too.
I would temporarily disable alerting too, or you'll get slammed when the service comes back up.
In the end, this did resolve the issue.
