Unable to add Windows server in Solarwinds

We are unable to add 11 windows servers in Solarwinds. We have checked all the possible prerequisites like firewall ports, WMI connectivity and Telnet of the nodes. Despite that we are unable to add, took solarwinds tech support help but still the issue is not resolved. Please help ASAP.

What is the error that you get? are you adding by SNMP or WMI?

We are using WMI connectivity. We were able to add only 5 out of 16. We have also restarted the WMI service and also checked the credentials but it is still not working. Can you please suggest as tech support was not any help. If this continues then our company will migrate to some other tools for monitoring.

Are those machines domain members? Are you using the local accounts? If so, you'll probably need to specify usage of local account as .\username or hostname\username or (if using domain admin accounts) domainName\domainUserName

Hi Vinay,

Credentials are not working. Please see the below reply that we got from Solarwinds Tech Support team.

WMI test pass when you specify a local administrator account, but WMI
test fail when you specify the topsnms account» The topsnms account is a member
of the local administrators group» I tried to test the network access by trying
to map \\10.140.81.31\c$ with the
topsnms, error access denied» This is an environmental issue, since \\10.140.81.31\c$ returned an access
denied
