Display Order of MIB Table Data on Node Details

I'm pulling data from two different MIB Tables on a SAN. One table contains the LUN names, the other table contains performance data such as IO per LUN. I can pull the data and display it on the node details page lined up perfectly. The problem that I'm having is displaying the columns of data from the tables in a specified order in the "Tabular Universal Device Poller" display. What I want to do is display the "LUNNames" first, "LUNReadIOPs" second, "LUNWriteIOPs" third and "LUNTotalIOPs" fourth.

As you can see from the screenshot below, the data is not displaying the way I want. I configured this display to use the LUNNames poller for the labels, so I expected it to be the left-most column but it is not. I also thought it might be sorting the poller names alphabetically from left to right, so I tried changing the names of the pollers to start with the letters a, b, c and d -- that didn't work.

Does anyone know how I can specify the order of the columns displayed from left to right?

There isn't a way to change the orders of the columns. We're looking at doing this for a future release.

So, it's completely random at this time?

Actually, it's not random. We're using the order that the data is stored in the MIB, so it reflects the device vendor's thinking about the data.

Would that be reflected in the sort order of the OID of each element or is the data stored in the MIB possibly a different order than if the OID were sorted?

Wow! This ability/feature has been asked for since 2008. I know this is still not possible in 10.1.3. There are numerous posts asking for this functionality over the last 3 years. SW says they are listening. I haven't seen it in UnDP. So, how long is SW going to keep looking at this request and finally implement this feature? Is this coming in 10.2? If not, please give it priority in vNext.

While I'm on a rant, there has been very little improvement to UnDP/webGUI feature sets and it needs some attention!!! The Tabular UnDP resource really needs flexibility in ordering columns, hiding label column, label enumeration, column header separation, column header wrap, and be able to enable/disable vertical scrolling.

I have to agree with rgward. I completed the setup of pages for monitoring HSRP, OSPF, and IP SLA data, all using UnDP. But when I add multiple Tab Device Poller objects to a summary page, the columns are in different orders on each object.

I really love the UnDP and the amount of data it can bring in. Everything from Routes to Temp to Power, and on and on. But the lack of customizable displays AND the inability to manipulate SNMP string values (ex. concatenation of two text values) are serious shortfalls.

Please add these features ASAP.
