9.1 worse than 9.0...

Question

Hi all - any help would be appreciated on the following:

* "Orion Configuration Wizard" no longer works properly after upgrading from 9.0 SP2 to 9.1. Basically, the NetPerfMon service doesn't respond properly (starting/stopping) so any configuration change fails. There were problems with NetPerfMon responding properly in 9.0 but the configuration wizard did seem to actually "complete."
* Install of 9.1 generates errors whether the server is SLX, additional poller or hot standby. The MS error report pops up something about "business.layer" errors and exiting. Anyone know what this is?
* "TrapService" shows DB deadlocks under both 9.0 SP2 and 9.1. Basically, the app continually talks about not being able to delete old messages.
* Ran NTA for demo, didn't buy it, tried to uninstall it. Configuration Wizard puked so now I have no option to remove it via Add/Remove Programs. (I realize this is the wrong forum with this one but figured someone else may have run across it.) This applies to the additional Web Server piece as well as the SLX (both fubar'ed on unistall.)
* For the Orion NPM website:* SNMP Traps do not aggregate (still.) No matter what I do, they appear by Node even if I aggregate by type.
* Search boxes (nodes and interfaces) have very small widths. Bizarre, not killing the functionality - just seriously annoying as you can't see what you type.

Setup:

* 1 x Additional Web Server
* 1 x SLX
* 6 x Pollers
* 1 x Hot Standby

Hey Denny,

Case #64546. Honestly, I don't get anywhere with entering tickets. At this point, every upgrade brings new bugs without fixing the old ones and then I spend days of time that I can't afford trying to get the system stable again.

Will,

Please open a Support ticket.  Your problems suggest that the upgrade broke for you.  We need to help you fix it ASAP.  You really haven't got 9.1 fully installed and configured.
