Modify the Top 25 Interface Resource
dsullinger
We would like to have the interface speed included in the "Top 25 Interfaces by Percent Utilization" view. My thought is to modify the "Top25PercentUtil.Resource" file. I've already modified one of the resource files to meet our needs (01-AllNodes.Resource), but this file I'm making changes to it, yet the changes are not showing up in the "Top 10" view. Am I modifying the correct file?
Thanks
UPDATE: Since I can't seam to reply to my own post, I'll update this one.
I've since figured out how to do this.
1. I've copied the `SolarWinds\NetPerfMon\Resources\1-2-Top10Lists\42-TopXXErrorsDiscardsToday.Resource` file and renamed it.
2. I changed the `<!-- Title=Top XX Interfaces by Percent Utilization -->` to `<!-- Title=Top XX Interfaces by Percent Utilization TEST -->`. TEST could be replaced with whatever you wanted, since I work for the Arizona Dept of Transportation (ADOT), I generally add ADOT to everything I do so I can search and hunt down my changes easily.
3. Changed `Resource.Title = "Top XX Interfaces by Percent Utilization"` to `Resource.Title = "Top XX Interfaces by Percent Utilization TEST"`
4. Added `Interfaces.InterfaceSpeed,` after `Interfaces.StatusLED,`
5. Added `<td class="Property" vAlign="center" width="4"><a href="")%>"><%=SQLResource.GetProperty("InterfaceSpeed")%></a>">thwack.solarwinds.com/.../View.asp </td>` after the last line of other `<td class=` entries, but make sure you place it before the `</tr>`
6. Then simply selected `Customize Views` and added the new `Top XX Interfaces` list.
