Network is running slow on Sonar Discovery

While Network Discovery is running, my network is too slow.

What can I do to fix it?

NPM is OK. I identify the traffic when discovery is running. The users are saturating my network. I will block many access.

I have 3 Cisco ASA 5500 running IOS 8.2(1).

How have you got it configured?

I run mine out of hours and have no performance issues.

Sorry I can't remember what the defaults are. Are you running it out of hours, where is the slowness occuring?

And how many hops have you got it checking?

Im running in of work hours. The slowness only occurs when Discovery Sonar is running.

Settings are:

SNMP Timeout : 1500ms

Search timeout: 2000ms

SNMP Retries: 1

Hop count: 0

Discovery timeout: 60mins
