Assistance Needed: Moving Nodes from Cisco Group to Windows Group in SolarWinds HCO

Hello,

I am new to SolarWinds. I want to move the nodes from the Cisco group to the Windows group. Please see the image below for details.

I also checked the following path:
**Settings** > **Node Management** > **Manage Groups**, but the specific group is not showing.

Can someone help me out?

We have SolarWinds HCO version.

Those aren't groups. The manage nodes view shows you your devices and you can pick attributes to sort/ filter them, but in solarwinds a group is a specific thing and that's not what this is so that's why you don't see it in manage groups.

You can't move a cisco device into the windows section of that view because the device itself is reporting that it is a cisco device, not a windows.

Try clicking on "rediscover" for the node, but it's not likely to help as it should be happening automatically.

I would guess that for this to happen you are monitoring the windows server via SNMP? If that is true, the best solution would be to change to WMI or the Agent.

You should not have to do this
If you have to do this something is likely to be misunderstood
If it's not misunderstood, something's probably wrong

if something is wrong, you'd probably have to edit it in the DB, you can open a DB editing session from the main polling engine
