NCM 5.5 to 6.1 ?

Question

I am seeing rumblings that 6.1 is getting close to RC status.

We have been holding off installing 6.0 because the critical features we are looking for sound like they will probably be available in 6.1.

Is moving directly from 5.5 to 6.1 a viable opion, i.e. no need to install 6.0 first?

Hi Bob--

I stand corrected! Checked with the developer and you *should* be able to do this. If you are on active maintenance, you should be able to download 6.1 for free in your customer portal.

Hi Marie, thanks for the note.

We are primarily looking forward to the enhanced policy reporting features, for example presence/absence of specific commands at the interface level.

We have a competitor's product which we can't retire until the policy reporting in NCM matures a bit more.

To answer your question: yes, you do have to upgrade to 6.0 from 5.5.

Would you mind naming the critical features you are looking for that aren't in 6.0? That way, I can let the PM know.
