Config Download location when using the website?

We use NCM to do nightly config downloads if a config has changed. Works great.

However, just noticed an issue when using the website to manually initate a config download. The website downloads the config, lets me edit it, etc. But where is the actual file? It does not go to the config-archive folder we set up, where all other downloaded configs go. Ive search through the NCM server and can not find configs that were downloaded using the NCM website.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Did you recently move your config Archive folder to a network share with 5.1? I don't believe config archive works with network shares right now.

No need to reply. With a little digging, I found the issue. After upgrading to 5.1, our network drive mappings got a little screwy. They appeared to be proper when I first posted the question, but upon further review, they were broken.

After adjusting the network mappings, the config archive worked just fine.

That's really good to hear! The intention was for the web-based config download operation to function in a similar manner as it does desktop-based, including config archive settings.

Unfortunately, I think I spoke to soon when I said this was resolved.
I am still running into the same issue.

I have the config Archieve folder set up on a network share. NCM can see the share, and when I click on the "export all configs..." options inside the config archieve settings, all configs move to the netwrok share.
This is the only way I can get them into the archieve folder. I have the option checked for "download a copy of config to archieve".

From the website, I download a config, it comes up and I can view and edit it, but cannot find where the .config file goes. it is only after I choose the "export all configs now" option that the .config file is in the folder.

What is going on?! This was working fine with 5.0 Since 5.1, I have to export my configs manually.

Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.

Yes, the config archive folder was on a network share. When logged on to the NCM Server, we had full visibility intop the share. I had opened a case with SW (79642) regarding this. Hopefully, future versions of NCM will have access to the network share from the website.

The reason we request this is due to backup data. We do not backup the data to an off site location on the local NCM Server (configs). We do back up the data off site on the network share every night. We would like our configs to be backup off site, in case of some disaster at our location.
