Refresh of ${SystemName}

Question

Hi,

I have added a cisco device, the moment you add it, it uses the hostname (systemname) which is fine, however now i changed a hostname of a device but he keeps using the old name. Is there any way i can make him refresh it so he updates the name ? or is the only solution to delete it and re-add it ? Doing a new inventory didnt help.

One method to use for Cirrus to modify the listed name is to slightly adjust the IP Address (i.e. 10.10.1.1 to 10.10.1.2) in the Device Details window, click outside the IP Address field, let Cirrus discover the new device, and then change the IP Address back to the appropriate IP.  Cirrus should rediscover the device name.

It would be very helpful for me if Cirrus would automatically update the NodeName and SysName fields when it inventories the router.  Ideally, I'd like to see a setting where you could turn this functionality on and off.

Just selecting the IP and then clicking somewhere else was enough.
