Hi,

I spent quite a considerable time looking at SonicWall firewalls a while back but at the time it was not possible to support them because the only way to get the config from them was via ZModem. Unless they have changed the way they operate we would still not be able to support them. However, if you are away of a way of generating a backup via the CLI then I would be greatly interested to know.

Hello,

I believe this can now be done with SonicOS 5.X. There is now an "export preferences ftp" option that will allow you to export the config to an FTP server inside the LAN. You can also do a multitude of "show" commands to rebuild the config.

I have done a sonicwall SSH session if anyone from Kiwi development team would like to see.

I am trying to do the same. I cant seem to get it to work. Any help wouldbe great. I am working on a 4100 PRO. with enhaced os 5.x installed. I tried export preferences ftp but got a error saying extra syntax after command. Please help. Thank you.

I am getting the following error when validating script:Validation Failed: An error occurred during script parsing. Position: Line 4, Character 34 Error message: no viable alternative at character '"' Please check script syntax.

What is the viable alternative character that should be in position 34 on line 4 ?
