Excel-Add-In for Engineer's Edition

Question

I've been playing with the un-supported Excel-Add-In and was just curious if this worked for anyone?

On XP Pro SP1 and Office 2000 I can't get it to work.  I've added the tool into Excel, but everything I try and ping comes back false.  I've watched with a sniffer and its never actually pinging anything.

When trying to use the SNMP spreadsheets I just get the result 'ERROR: Object variable or With block variable not set
'.  As with the ping formula, it's never actually sending out snmp queries.

Any ideas?  Success stories?  Failures?

Not sure if you are already doing this, but I think you need to have Solarwinds installed on the machine you are running Excel on as I think it uses some of the Solarwinds dlls.

I've used it successfully in the past but now, I get the same error:

ERROR: Object variable or With block variable not set
