Is it possible to set up a dynamic text validation, or current date validation on a Web Transaction?

I know its possible to set up a text or image validation but they look to be just static validations, meaning the image or text must remain the same on the webpage at all times.  What we are looking to do is monitor a date field on one of our web pages, and alert if it does not match the current system date.  This is a web based report that runs nightly, and we're trying to alert if the data does not update successfully.  I attached a screenshot showing the top of the report, w/ the date field highlighted.

Is this possible in wpm, or is it something that might be coming soon?

Something we've been looking for since day 1 and can't understand why it wasn't included is support for regular expressions.   This is the first monitoring tool I've implemented that can't do this.

Regular expression support would resolve a lot of our problems.    The ability to capture results using a regular expression and include that capture in the alert would even be better.

For Jeff...  perhaps step 1 would be to a cgi that simply outputs the current date,  2015-06-10.  He has a match setup on that step to look for "/(\d{4}-\d{2}-\d{2})/".

Data in the ( and ) is saved and passed to the following steps in $$1.1   If there was another step on step1 then it would be $$1.2.

So, on step2, he simply looks for $$1.1 for success.

Hello Jeff,

this is unfortunately not possible with WPM today. Transaction can contain only static data as they were recorded.

If there is this option sometime in future, how would you say that it should work? How would you like to define such dynamic values if you could affect how it works?
