Nutanix CVM - Manage As Node - SNMP

Hi,

We have enabled Nutanix API and CVM credentials in Solarwinds and can now see all VMware Clusters, Hosts and VMs in our Nutanix solution. Happy days.

I have noticed that each CVM is shown as 'Unmanaged' and as a result, only shows Virtual Machine data. We currently use Solarwinds agents for polling which cant be installed onto a CVM.

I have noticed it is possible to enable SNMP within Nutanix Prism:

Does anybody know if enabling SNMP give me any extra visibility into the estate, especially around the CVM virtual machines?

No, it will not. It uses the API credentials to see the cluster's info. CVM credentials are used for HardwareHealth.
