Planning Virtualization Manager Upgrade

I'm planning upgrading our Virtualization Manager appliance and was wondering if I can upgrade to 6.2 from 6.0.0 or if I need to upgrade to 6.1/6.1.1 before going to 6.2.

dsbalcau Is it supported to perform a VMware Snapshot before beginning the upgrade? I quickly read through the upgrade chapter in the administration guide, but didn't see anything specifically about it. I was planning on powering down the appliance VM, running a snapshot, turning it back on and then running the upgrade.

Hi B Harris,

Yes, that absolutely is the way I'd go too on an upgrade. Just make sure that after you've verified the upgrade has happened correctly (poke around in the dashboard, verify collections), that you go back and delete the snapshot. We've seen these snapshots cause drag on performance of the appliance over time.
