Solarwinds to Moogsoft Integration (SW sending all triggered alerts to Moogsoft)

Hi,

We are currently looking on Solarwinds to Moogsoft integration.
Here, we are expecting to have all alerts triggered in Solarwinds to be sent to Moogsoft (as it is not allowed in the environment to have traffic from Moogsoft to Solarwinds).

We have to use the generic Moogsoft Events API to push the events from SolarWinds to Moogsoft via REST calls.
The REST endpoint will be https://api.moogsoft.ai via Port 443.

From this documentation, it says that the "inbound Events API provides an endpoint where you can send events from monitoring tools such as New Relic, Dynatrace, and Datadog. Moogsoft can ingest from any external tool that can publish event data in JSON format." - however, I'm not sure if this is possible in Solarwinds as I don't see a lot of topics about this here on thwack and also not able to experience setting this up before.

@mat12 so this is absolutely possible. You can use the Send a POST Alert Action to do it, which can send data in JSON formatting. From the requirements, it looks fairly straightforward in terms of formatting, etc. They have some required fields and then it will be all about data mapping to ensure that the events get correlated correctly once received. I don't know a ton about Moogsoft so I can't speak to how that data mapping should go, but here are some examples of sending POST actions using the alert action. While these examples are not apples for apples what you're looking for I think they'll contain enough conceptual examples that you could get it functional given your ability displayed elsewhere in the THWACK community.
