Alert me when there is backup failure of a node during nightly config backup

Hi Team,

I've been trying to configure an alert which will send as an email notification with all the nodes where NCM config backup fails during nightly config backup. So that, we can login to the device and check the root cause of backup failure. can someone please check this requirement and let me know if this is can be done?

You select this option in the NCM job.

This will show what failed and what was successful.

Yes, I have enabled the email notification. But I am looking for an email/alert notification for a specific device so that we can convert it to an incident and our network team will investigate the issue further.

It's not going to send you individual emails when node fails to backup unless you create an individual job for each node.

Hi @Vaishna, this does essentially what you're asking for, however it's not quite perfect and it's a bit more generic

Left Join NCM.Nodes ncm on nodes.nodeid = ncm.corenodeID
WHERE ncm.LoginStatus not like 'Login Ok'
and
ncm.LoginStatus not like 'Unable to login to device : Timeout'

i've got a separate alert looking for the timeout with different behaviour. Feel free to build from here.

Following as I have asked this and done a lot of investigation.

Bear in mind I am a complete dunce when it comes to SWQL / SQL coding so it may be the limitations are mine, or my understanding. I haven't looked at this recently but I find it unfathomable that there isn't a means to be able to do this.

Now that, I think pretty much will answer my challenge - and questions I've asked of our TAM, or support, or here on THWACK, etc ... and nobody until yourself has come up with a means to resolve our issue.
