No VMDK data for one VC

Hello. I've upgraded from Profiler to STM 5, all appeared well until I tried to report on VMDK files for one of our VirtualCenter instances - there is no data for VMDK files. Storage is showing for virtual disks, ESX and EVA, VMDKs are also ok for our other VC.

I also have a minor annoyance that some of my scheduled reports, when imported to Excel from csv, append " | " followed by a random number in certain fields. It seems to affect mainly DNS names for hosts and VMs;

ESX Host Name - ESX999999.domain.co.uk | 19

I can strip these extra characters using Excel's Find and Mid functions but it's not ideal as the master spreadsheet uses external links to STM reports.

Any pointers please?

from which Profiler version did you upgrade to Storage Manager? can you provide the name for one of the report templates that generates the extra characters in Excel?

Hi, I think it was Profiler v4.5, it was whatever the last release was before STM.

Any report on VMDK Files is empty, for example; Quick Reports > VMware VC > Storage > VMDK Files. The corresponding report for Virtual Disks is ok.

Apologies for the duplicate post, I think my browser has issues...

One of the reports with extra characters is Quick Reports > VM Ware ESX > Asset Info. This appears fine as HTML but has the | when viewed as CSV. Maybe the report is including some of the HTML in the text report?

Dont see the same behaviour here with the special characters whilst running the same report. (you can also try this on http://storage.demo.solarwinds.com)

Not sure what might be causing the VMDK info to stop.
