My company is looking into Storage Manager. Is the is Storage Manager web console separate from the Solarwinds web console or is it integrated?
It is a separate console and a separate "platform" as well. However, there is an integration module that will present the Storage Information within the Orion Web View.
I'd be happy to talk to you more about this and explain where this integration hooks exist between the two products.

So with the integration module will this allow you to build out views and to drill down is Solarwinds as you would be able to in the storage manager?

At present, it is a view-only representation of the Storage Manager console presented in an Orion tab. So no, it will not let you build out custom views. However, if you look at our WWWO post for STM, it is something that we are working on. KMSigma or I would be happy to talk to you offline about what exactly your requirements are for this ability.
Yeah... what Balki 1429 said. We'd love to hear more on where you feel this information would be relevant and how you'd use deeper integration.
