3 PAR setup recommendations

Hi All,

Did anyone have any gotcha's when trying to get the HP 3PAR to talk to solarwinds?

The test connect says the creds are working, nut i'm not getting any performance data.

Or details on LUN's etc, is there anywhere good to go and check to see what is going on?

I've tried looking for permissions on the 3PAR's user accounts, but all i can find is info on restarting the SMI-S which I'll check in the morning, but I've already had people looking at this and I would sort of hope that this would have been the first thing they checked!

Hi Wolfgang,

We found out what it was, very similar to what you suggested the account that was created didn't have enough privileges.

We matched the 3paradm accounts privileges and it now works brilliantly.

Other than the fact its grumbling about over provisioning as its thinned. But i'll need to go and work out how to chill that out a bit!
