15 minutes is recommended minimal interval, because most of vendors update values in provider itself every 15 minutes too.
For this reason, it is not possible to update interval to shorter period using UI.

What arrays do you have? It largely depends on the vendor and model type to determine what is possible.
Hi.... We currently have a mix of IBM DS8870's, IBM XIV's and NetApp's... We also have IBM Flash 840's and 900's.... but I understand that we cannot monitor those Flash Arrays at this point in time

The IBM's are SMI-S polled devices and are limited to 15 minutes for performance data by the SMI spec. The NetApp devices are polled via API and can be tuned down to 5 minute polling.
We are very interested in adding the IBM FlashSystem devices in the near future, as we have seen them become very popular in the customer base. Unfortunately, I cannot give timeframes for delivery on support, but I encourage you to keep an eye on the Storage Manager - What We Are Working On for updates on this. Furthermore, if you vote on the Idea Forum request , this provides a handy mechanism for us to reach out to you for early requirements gathering and Beta/Release Candidate feedback.

Thanks for the reply.... so.... we are looking at a product called Arxview ..... they are telling us that they can get performance data directly from the CIM on the array and at almost real time frequency... is there an option to log directly into the array with STM? IBM DS8870's.... would rather not bring in another product to monitor the array performance if possible.....
