SQL Sentry and SQL Server 2022

On SQL Server 2022 RTM, FILESTREAM cannot be enabled on an instance that doesn't already have Always On Availability Groups enabled.  SQL Sentry uses in-memory OLTP, which uses FILESTREAM, so it won't work out of the box.  That said though, you can absolutely host a SQL Sentry repository on a SQL Server 2022 instance as long as the Always On Availability Groups feature is enabled.  Take a look at this link if you are unfamiliar with the process.

I thought Microsoft fixed (allegedly) that bug in CU1 for SQL Server 2022. Is it still causing SQL Sentry issues?

Microsoft says it was fixed in CU1 (Cumulative update 1 for SQL Server 2022 (KB5022375) - SQL Server | Microsoft Learn) and not finding anything about the issue on later CU's so we may just give it a shot at whatever the latest CU available is when we go liive. If it doesn't work without AG enabled then we can enable it.

You are correct that CU1 and later addresses the issue.  The SQL Sentry documentation reflects that at documentation.solarwinds.com/.../sqlsentry_2023-3_system_requirements.htm.
