Mute Alerts Using Groups

Is it possible to mute and un-mute alerts using groups, we have started using a new tool to roll out patches to system, and looking for an easy way to mute alerts for a group of nodes/system for a short time frame?

Not from the group itself. Bu you can use the group membership to create a script that parses through all members of a group and mute's them.

I would use a custom property instead of group for this, but you can do it in either way.
