How to configure SAM Alerting for MSMQ directory size ?

Hi All,

Based on this article: The MSMQ directory c:\Windows\System32\msmq\storage has a maximum limit of 4 MB

How can I create the Solarwinds Alerting for a specific group of Windows Server, so when it reach 3.5 MB it will trigger an alert ?

Hello! You would need to apply the built in MSMQ monitoring for the server, specifically the " Bytes in Queue" component. Then you should be able to create a component alert based of the Component name…

Hello! You would need to apply the built in MSMQ monitoring for the server, specifically the "Bytes in Queue" component. Then you should be able to create a component alert based of the Component name and values returned, go through the Alert creation wizard, make sure to change the dropdown from Node (default) to Component.

I can't think why your type of license (Node or Application) would come into play unless you're already at your limits of how many applications youre monitoring.
