Child Groups and Application Deployment

Question

Should child groups inherit any application deployed to the parent it is part of? For example:

B

C

A is the parent group, B and C are child groups nested inside of A. When we assign a template to A, shouldn't B and C also get the application assigned? It doesn't seem to be working that way.

It absolutely should work this way.  That's one of the biggest points of groups is their ability to have that Parent > Child relationship.  The parent group contains all of the nodes in its children groups and thus when an application template is assigned to a parent group all of the nodes in the children groups should be assigned.  It's crazy that it doesn't work that way already...
