Application Status is Not licensed

Hi Community,

We have a following license for Server and Application Monitor and are used up following

but getting the following for the unknown applications

Could you please advise if we have over licensed our infrastructure if not then could you please advise if we could something to fix that issue.

I managed to fixed the issue, it was just the case of stopping and restarting all the services and everything started working alrightt.

I have disabled the Application Dependency Mapping but still see that problem, I have checked the amount of components by using the following query as shown below, I am not sure if there is a limit on the number of components which can be monitored using one poller.

I have also contacted the support so hopefully we get an answer soon from them.

does that count match what you see in the web console as your component count?

If that count is accurate and you are monitoring 21942 components at the default polling intervals you are over the recommended limit for elements per polling engine as outlined in this article Scalability Engine Guidelines for SolarWinds products, However, i don't think that is why this is happening, just something, in addition, to look at to prevent issues.

I also have run the below query against the SolarWinds database in the past to resolve this as well. This was provided by support. It was caused by a large number of components being assigned dynamically and getting stuck so this helps clear that out.

UPDATE APM_DynamicEvidenceColumnSchema SET IsThresholdOverridden = 1 WHERE ComponentTemplateID IS NULL AND [Type] = 1

The count on the web console and the from the database doesn't match up as you see below it specifies components monitored are 4567 and Unlicensed Component Monitors are '0' below.

I have run the recommended query and it came up with '0' rows affected,

Hmm, I would recommend putting in a support ticket to SolarWinds if you haven't done so already.

Those are the two top things I've seen that cause this problem.

As for the mismatch it has to do with the way joins work (I'm not a SQL guru so I couldn't explain it if I tried). I would rely on the web console count, however, and according to it, you are well under the recommended component limit for SAM per poller.
