We have just installed a server running Microsoft System Center Manager - Data Protection Manager and when you look at the Disk Management on the server it has two Dynamic drives simply labelled Disk 2 and Disk 3. These are actually LUNs created on our external HDS storage.
What I want to be able to monitor is the unallocated space on these drives because the volumes on the drives expand automatically as and when required and our Capacity Manager wants to be given fair warning when he needs to expand the LUN.
Although adding the server using WMI allows me to see the various volumes on this LUN I can't find the unallocated space anywhere, I have completed a MIB walk on the server but again I can't seem to find where this figure is held.
Has anyone had to monitor this kind of drive before, any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
