Hardware health showing "unknown" for nodes with hardware check unselected

I hadn't noticed it before, but when I look at the "Hardware Health Overview" that is added to the default view, it is showing 21 servers in "unknown" status. I've seen 1 or 2 servers flap between OK and unknown if something takes too long, but never 21.

So I clicked through the details, and about 19 of the 21 are from servers I'd recently added, but had not enabled Hardware health checks.

Here is an example:

I checked, and unchecked, and saved it again, but the node is still showing as "unknown". The node status page doesn't provide any hint there is any unknown status, just the "Hardware Health Overview". This seems to happen on both SNMP and WMI polled devices.

I poked around in the SQL database, and I'm not sure I hit the right table, but the APM_HardwareInfo table for this node shows "IsDisabled" is set to 1, with a "PollingMethod" of 7.

Is this intended behavior? Am I going to see more and more hosts move to the "unknown" status as I go through doing updates? This will cause concern for others that view this data.

What's the Make/Model of these devices that are showing "unknown" and what's the vendor agent software version installed on these hosts?

This particular node is a SQL instance name that is running on top of 2 HP DL585 G7, running HP Insight Manager 9.25.0.0. The actual servers that this instance runs on poll just fine. The other servers are a mix of HP servers (from G1-G8 series), HP BL465c G7 blades, and some flex 10 switches from an HP C7000 blade chassis. I know not all of them are capable of hardware checks due to age/HP software version.

The problem here is that these nodes are all setup to NOT check the hardware status, and yet they're still showing up in the "Hardware Health Overview" box as "unknown". If they're not setup to check the hardware status, they shouldn't be shown in the summary (even though the hardware is unknown, it's irrelevant to the report as we've said we don't want to monitor it).
