APM Report Writer

Hi,

I hope someone can help me find the problem. I need to create an availability report for a certain number of systems. I've created a custom property and I verified that it works by creating a group with dynamic query to define membership. All the systems I need show up in the group. Now when I try to filter down the systems included in the report, I get to set the field in the Filter Results tab, but nothing shows up on the report. If I remove the filter condition, all systems show up. Any advice? Has anybody run into it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The problem appears to be with your Filter. It looks like you chose "Advanced elementary condition" when you should have chose "New Elementary condition" and selected "Network Nodes -> Custom Properties" and selected the Custom Property you created with the Custom Property Editor. I've attached a working example that's built off the Custom Property "City" <attached>.

Are you sure you created a custom property using the Win32 custom property editor or did you simply create a dynamic group through the webui? Groups are primarily used for dependency relationships where custom properties are used for organization and hierarchy structuring. It would also be helpful if you provided a screenshot of the report writer design view. Specifically the "Selected Fields" and "Filter Results" tabs.

Thanks for your answer, but I don't think that's it. I've created two custom fields (yes/No and text) to be sure and used both in the filter, with the same null result...
