Internet Connection Status -Connectivity Issue!!

I receive the following error message when attempting to test Internet Connectivity.

Below is the error being received. I have attempted connecting it to our internal proxy but it still does not connect to the internet. When I first started this installed the product it actually worked for a short while. So I am not sure what is going on or how to fix it? can anyone help please?

Packet captures, tcpdumps--Wireshark are all your friends for this adventure.

Install Wireshark on the server with the failed traffic, then use it to ensure your expected traffic is actually making it out towards the intended destinations
Look at your firewall audit files and packet captures:
- Is traffic making to the inside interface of the firewall?
- Is the firewall allowing the traffic via ACL's or denying it?
- If traffic makes it through to the outside interface of the firewall, what do the packet captures show?
  - There must be a successful three-way-handshake between the firewall and the destination addresses
  - The outside traffic should see plenty of Pushes and some Fins along with the Acks, all between the destination addresses and the firewall.
  - Those same Syns, Fins, and Acks should be showing up on the Inside interface of the firewall, between the destination addresses and your Solarwinds server.
  - You should not see early Resets [R] in those pcaps. If you do, determine which side is sending them, then troubleshoot why.

Remember to Google the topic and see who else has experienced, and resolved, this issue--and how they did it. One topic to Google could be "nested exception is: java.net.SocketException: Malformed reply from SOCKS server"
