When I am creating a user defined group in LEM is there a good way to build import items? I often have list of several items I need to add and I end up adding them all one at a time. Is there a better way to bulk import this type of data?
Good News/Bad News time.
Good News: you can import a UDG from a file! And I have directions for this!

Bad News: There's no way to do an "Append" so you'd be over-writing the group each time you import, or needing to delete and re-import the new group.

curtisi I tried the process in the video and it didn't seem to work. Has this been tested in the most recent version and been confirmed to work properly?
I get mixed reports that some people need a .csv extension and some need .txt. Not sure what the secret sauce is.
Ah, it would seem that .csv was the secret sauce, not the .txt extension that was shown in the video.
Another interesting tidbit on issues with importing from CSV - I was importing a HUGE list to build the UDG for the Next-Gen Firewall webcast we did a while back and it was struggling in the web console. I was able to install and use the old fashioned AIR console and it imported much more quickly AND without problems. I'd report issues if you see them so the team can chase them down, but it's worth trying if you run into problems. I also had best success with .csv extensions, but the AIR console seemed to be a little smoother with that too.
