HA Deployment on APE has broken SysLog & Trap Viewer

Hi Thwacksters!

I'm running a new install of 12.2 and after deploying my APE I added a same subnet HA Server. The Pool was created and everything appeared to be working fine. However when I went to check SysLog Viewer it failed, and Trap Viewer also doesn't work. I tried failing over to the Secondary server and it won't work on that server either. I tried breaking the HA Pool and it still won't connect it appears to have broken the application for good. I've run the Config Wizard on the APE and still nothing.

The odd thing is that if I send SysLog to the VIP they get through as I see them in my web console, but I just can't load the application. Has anyone seen this before?

To be sure I wasn't crazy I spun up a 2nd APE and the apps were working fine until I deployed an HA server and paired it into a pool.

Has anyone seen this before or think they might know a workaround? aLTeReGo  ?

Hi All,

Just an update - I have a case open with SW Support now, but I have since learnt this is nothing to do with HA, it seems to be something to do with the NPM Installer, as I installed 4 APE's and 2 had the same issue. Then I was able to replicate the issue in a virtual lab, and a co-worker informed me he had seen this once before on a 12.2 installation.

If the Admin's want to move this from the HA Section that would be great, maybe just put it in the NPM Section and rename to SysLog & Trap Viewer Broken on 12.2 Install ?
