Patch manager Error 2148204810

Question

Hello everybody,

I am upgrading Flash Player plugin and during the publishing I am getting this Message:

The summary of the results of publishing the packages:

Package: Flash Player 31.0.0.0.148 Plugin MSI (Upgrade)

Status: Failure

Message: Failed to publish Flash Player 31.0.0.148 Plugin MSI (upgrade). Failes to sign package; error was: 2148204810

Does anyone know how to fix this?

This error code translates to "A certificate chain could not be built to a trusted root authority.".

It happens when the WSUS Signing Certificate has expired. You will need to re-generate another self-signed certificate or import an update PFX certificate if using a PKI based code-signing certificate.
