I see that Java 8u131 has been released. Can we get this for Patch Manager in the next 24 hours? Also, do you know if there is a Java 8u132?
Hi James,
Java 8u131 was added to the Patch Manager catalog yesterday. I am not aware of a 8u132 update, Java 8u131 is the latest version.
Jamie
I have yet to see 8u131 appear in Patch Manager. Most recent sync with catalogs was this morning at 630am CDT
I got nothing last night and just did 2 manual polls this morning and received no JRE packages. There's a new Chrome v58.0.3029.81 and Firefox 53.0 out also.
James, can you confirm that JRE 8u131 is available? It is 11:09am on 4/20/2017 and sync does not return any new JRE updates. As you can see in this thread, there is another customer that has not received the 8u131 packages either
I do not see Java8u131 in my Patch Manager environment despite synchronizing several times today.
Can you confirm whether or not 8u131 is available? It appears that a few on this thread have not seen it come in yet
Hi All,
Java 8u131 should now appear after a synchronization. Can you please let me know if you are still experiencing issues after a sync.
I just did a sync and 8u131 is still not appearing.
Jamie,
I'm still unable to sync the latest Java 8,131 updates, and I appear to also not be syncing the Chrome 58 update from 4/20 either.
Any thoughts?
Still not seeing anything...
Jamie, as of 859am CDT, the 8u131 update is still not being found in the SolarWinds catalog for me. All of my catalog syncs are showing successful in the console
Something not working on their end. Last updates I saw were Flash player revisions on 4/14/17 and the Flash player packages on 4/13/17. No JRE 8u131 or Google Chrome v58 even though both are listed in the latest release history on the 19th and 20th.
I agree. The issue has to be on their side as I have not received any new updates since 4/13/2017.
I opened up a support case with SolarWinds yesterday afternoon to try and get some information on why we aren't seeing the package. I received a reply just now stating that "Our Developers are still working on the package."
I guess I will be making my own package again as I cannot wait any longer for delivery.
Its about 1120AM MT and still no update. Catalog still does not reflect Java 8 u131 or Chrome 58.0.3029.81.
These were just added late this afternoon.
But a sync at 4:37pm EST got me nothing again.
04/24 still no Java
Just synced at 11:04am EST, still nothing. Dealing with SolarWinds regarding this product is getting old. Either fully support/update the product or kill it off. Don't leave your customers swinging in the breeze. Being treated this way makes me want to avoid ALL SolarWinds products.
Testing out PDQDeploy and PDQInventory for another group we manage, so far liking what I see.
All,
I received word from SolarWinds that the issue with their catalog has been resolved. Apparently the issue was: "There was an issue with the synchronization mechanism which was causing the CAB updates to not be available to customers."
I ran a manual sync and received 12 new packages including Java 8u131
Good luck guys
Ive been using PDQ deploy free version for years now for small deployment projects and just recently got authority to purchase the full version of inventory and deploy and weve been using it now for a few weeks full force and its been great. I may be there with you stcain, ill evaluate it for full patching duties here soon. If you would like I could let you know what I think of it after testing
As Leon said above, the issue with the catalog is now resolved. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
