APC Battery Monitoring

I am in no way an expert in how to setup Solarwinds to correctly report this.

I am having an issue with how my batteries in my APC units are being reported. I currently have a UPS system that when I login directly it is showing that one of the battery packs is due to be replaced.

Solarwinds is reporting a completely different result.

Two things I see are that there is no load being shown on the UPS and the replace indicator is also showing that there is no issue with the batteries of this unit.

Any recommendation on how to fix this issue?

OID for APC battery replacement indicator is 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.2.2.4

@Reedglf you can try checking output of this OID against concerned nodes.

Output value 1 means No replacement needed

2 means replacement needed.

Custom undp polling should be able to get those values. Create one, apply it to all apc ups. I seem to recall there being sets of APC snmp OIDs also. Each with varying levels of details. But I am thankful that you found an answer, even if it is kinda 'meh.'

SNMP Polling is working as intented. It looks like the UPS is saying that the battery is "near end of life" Not sure if this is calculated by the predicted replacement date or something else.

So the status being reported is "Ok" but the UPS itself is saying "hey -- you might need to start planning for this"

I did an SNMPwalk of the system but I am not seeing anything that would allow me to see this information without logging into every APC device.
