Query on trap template in alerts

Question

Hi All,

I would like to know if the default trap templates available for use in alert action, can be copied and edited?

I know that we can edit it but can we duplicate it and use it?

thanks but i wouldnt want to use that route... i do have other 2 templates that can be used but i dont think that should be modified... let me wait for someone to comment

Now, assuming that you cannot customize the "Send SNMP trap" to meet your needs.  One alternative would be to download Net-SNMP, and use the alert action to execute a script, then run the snmptrap.exe .... or possibly download some powershell module to send snmp traps.

Maybe someone from solarwinds can chime in.  It's very possible that none of the normal users who are active on Thwack use the "Send SNMP trap" alert action.  From what I see, no there isn't a way.
