Custom property editor

Question

I just noticed that it appears you are no longer able to edit or import captions into the custom property editor now. We were able to do it in the previous 7.x versions but not since we upgraded to v8. Wondering why the change, it worked great before.

Anyone have a work around/fix for this?

Try stopping the polling engine.  What may be happening is that you're updating the database and the polling engine is overwriting it.  In the current architecture, the polling engine is the master, not the database.   When you stop the engine and restart it, it will pick up its initial state from the database.

No we are not stopping the polling engine. I don't think we ever did that before.

We didn't change this functionality at all between 7.x and 8.0.  Are you stopping the polling engine when you make the change and do the import?
