Dependencies - Child node behavior question

Question

I'm testing dependencies.  When the Parent node goes down, my child nodes go to the Unreachable state as expected.  Whenever the parent comes back up, the child nodes stay unreachable.  I have to unmanage and then remanage the child devices to get them out of the unreachable state.  Is this the normal behavior of the child nodes??

Hi Josh,

I opened a ticket, and got a support guy to help me look through my environment.

He said it was a known issue and will be fixed in the next hotfix to come.

How we "fixed" it:

Unmanage all nodes and than remanage again.

Since our environment is not that critical I was able to solve it like this and am not gonna touch dependencies again until the hotfix is there.

We are have the same issue.  After the parent comes up, the childs stay unreachable. Anyone found a fix?

Hi guys,

I have recently experienced the same problems, after enabling automatic dependencies with groups and dynamic queries behind that.

Did you find a easy way to fix this problem or just open a ticket @mfan51?
