Map questions

I have 2 questions:

1. I have created a map, but noticed it does not refresh. Is there a setting somewhere to fix this, or is the status of each node refreshing and just not the page?

2. I assume I can add a link to the tool bar to go to this map instead of going to ALL Maps and choosing it? If so, where are the maps stored so I can link to it?

Go to ADMIN, WEB CONSOLE SETTINGS and there's a spot for page refresh (in minutes). It says for each page refresh - my experience is this - some times it does & some times it doesn't.

As for linking to your maps. First open the map in your browser then capture the URL text and use this to link to your map - link by using the menu bar or else in a new HTML resource.

First of all the map should refresh when the page refreshes. They are not separate, so the map does not refresh either totally or the element status indepently. If it is not, you have something wrong with the map, the page or the browser.

For your second question, create a page with a map resource, dont forget you can add a map and the text listing of the map elements. Even simpler, you can create a link to the map view page, if you know the ID i.e.

I am not seeing the page refresh as the other pages do, but I think each node on the map is refreshing so that is fine.

When I add the Map as a new menu item, it does not display it in the Solarwinds frame, rather it displays it all by itself. I have tired different variations of the URL to no avail.

I am trying to get just the Map to display in the Frame, and not the Network Object, Description, and Status table that shows up under it.

Actually I just verified that nothing on the map is refreshing...

this sounds like a bug. The map should be really updated with every page refresh. I suggest upgrading to 9.5 SP5 (or 9.5.1) and if you still see the issue, open a support ticket please.
