Mail not generated against an alert

Question

I just faced and issue that multiple devices connected with one of our nodes went down. The alerts are listed in the alerts window....but emails against some alerts were not generated. Alerts are properly configured and have been tested. But in this particular case mail against only two nodes was not generated.Mail for all other nodes was generated. What is the reason behind it ??

Hi, i am also facing a similar problem where some alerts are triggering Email and some are not for instance when i am trying to configure alert for thin wireless Access Point, i start getting emails saying wireless controller is down.

each time i try this alert i am spammed by false emails.

any possible solution?

Is it always the same nodes or does it appear to be a little random?

I ask because in the past I have seen configurations with multiple mail servers that one is incorrectly configured, but the Orion server mainly connects to the other one. This causes the emails to mostly work, but occasionally not get sent.
