About Orion NPM Web console

Dear all,

I would like to know does Orion NPM Web console need to be installing with the Orion Server (polling engine), particularly when we have "additional web server" license?

I am now checking the manual, but if anyone know, please tell me more about it, thanks a lot.

Hi,

If a web console is running on an additional server, this means that you can stop the web console or even shutdown IIS on the main Orion server to free up resources for the other services.

Dear all,

Just checked from the guide, I found the following:
“The Orion additional web server allows you to remotely view the Orion Web Console of your primary Orion NPM server just as you would see it if you were logged in locally on the primary Orion NPM server. The additional web server enables remote users to view the primary Orion Web Console without installing the entire Orion NPM suite or excessively taxing the resources of your primary Orion NPM server.”

Does it mean that Orion NPM Web console need to be installing with the Orion Server even we have an additional web server??

Do you mean that we can first install the web console on the main Orion server, and once the web console is running on an additional server, we can then stop the web console or even shutdown ISS on the main Orion server without any problem for the network performance monitoring?
