How to know from Solarwind if a port is supporting Giga Ethernet?

Hi All,

As we know, GE port (1 Gbps) is possible to be used as FE port (100 Mbps). But i don't see the different in Solarwind. Let say i have  a switch with 16 GE ports. 10 of them are connected to GE ports client, the other 6 are connected to FE ports client.

In Solarwind we will see it as 10 ports with GE speed and 6 ports with FE speed. So, is it possible to know from Solarwind that it is actually 16 GE ports?

Luckily i don't have UnDP right now 
 But can you share about this UnDP solution?

Thanks for your advice. However most devices in my network are Extreme Switch. For some types (alpine 3808, 3804)  it is possible to use your approach (the module type is written in the interface name). But for others it is not, like x450a switch. The Good news, all port in x450a are supporting GE. But i need to use different query for each switch type that i don't like it.

most port names will give you what you are looking for.

the actual port name will be g0/0 denoting it as a gig port

whereas if the port was FE only then it would be F0/0.

make sure you look at the interface name and not just the alias asigned to it.
